April is Autism Acceptance Month

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental condition that impacts an individual’s ability to interact, communicate, and process information. As of 2023, 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Yolande, 2024). Throughout the month of April, and every day, we promote and celebrate this condition within the community. It is more than important that we emphasize acceptance, acknowledge the differences, and promote inclusion for autistic individuals around us.
